This is a very famous trekking route which is located in the central highland of Nepal. Manaslu circuit trekking takes approximately fifteen days to complete.

It is a trek of around 15 days, but at the end of the trek will return back with more excitement and more energy. Basically, there will be two reasons why you will feel happy about the trek. First, you will get the opportunity to spend time in Nepal, A country rich in culture, traditions, and spirituality. Second, you will have an amazing experience of trekking and exploring the beautiful Himalayas.

You can spend a lifetime reading and learn about the Himalayas, but to really understand them, you need to go there and see them for yourself. We OASIS Nepal believe in feeling the Himalayas rather than reading about and learning about the mountains.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival
We heartily welcome you to the country of the Himalays and the city of Temples.
Our Airport Representatives will be there to pick you up with the name card. He/She will transfer you to the hotel, where you will be meeting your tour leader and CEO and have a detailed discussion regarding the tour.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Soti Khola
Having breakfast at the hotel we will be taking the private vehicle to Soti Khola.
It'll be quite dusty and bumpy, but your journey will offer stunning views of the landscapes as you cross through many interesting places. You can stop at any rest stops along your route, but you might want to make stops for shorter breaks and meals along the way. There are many types of teahouses, each with a unique atmosphere and special tea offerings. Pick your favorites. We will be spending the night in Soti Khola
Day 3: Soti Khola to Machha Khola
Adventure Begins
Having breakfast at the hotel/tea house we will officially begin our trek. The breathtaking vistas of the countryside will keep you entertained and energetic throughout the trek and will always push you to walk ahead. Despite the difficult path, the first day of the trek will be an unforgettable experience.
Although there are lots of ups and down, the first day of out hike is pretty easy. We will be walking through the beautiful Gurung civilization, Rocky terrain. We will be reaching Machha Khola where we end our day and rest for the day.
Day 4: Machha Khola to Jagat
The main attraction of the day is the Hot water spring, which will be waiting for you in the middle part of this day. You may take a warm bath and relax your soaring body.
We will be continuing the river, following the gorge till we reach Khorla Besi crossing Tharo Khola. We will continue our trip via numerous villages, including Tatopani, Dovan and Thulo Dhunga, before reaching the final destination of the day. Watchout for the neat and tidy Gurung villagae. It's where the Manaslu Conservation Area Begins. Crossing the river and hiking over we will reach Jagat.
Day 5: Jagat to Deng
We will begin the walk by ascendinf to Salleri along a steep ridge, then descending to Sirdibas. A the route proceeds to the Ghatta Khola river, continue trekking upstream to Philim, a big Gurung settlement and further to Ekle Bhatti.
We will again descend back to Budhi Gandaki river and walk along the river till we reach a small village, Deng.
Day 6: Deng to Namrung
We will be preparing for one of the trek's most important and culturally significant segments with warm breakfast ot the hotel. To start, cross Budhi Gandaki River and move forward, where you will connect a alternate route from Bhi. We will be passing some stunning settlements built along the route.
We will go through the way that leads to Prok, A village which has a beautiful views of snowcapped Siringi Himal. Run in deveral Gompas and enjoy the scenery. Its a great walk through the dense forest , but the best part of the walk is the magnificient view from Manasly Conservation Area.
Day 7: Namrung to Sanam Gaun
In the morning you can wander around the village of Namrung for a view of Mount Himal chuli, Ganesh Himal and Siring, but the highlight is definitely Siring Ganesh, a beautiful mountain standing high and handsome.
After the breakfast we will hike steadily to the village of Lihi, a village famous for stupas. Then our trail descends through Lho, Sho and Shyala before reaching Sama village. Our day's hike ends in Samagaon where we will spend the night.
You will enjoy the magnificient views of Manaslu and explore Ribung Gumba during today's hike. Moreover you will find a number of other small temples to visit as well.
Day 8: Acclimatization Day (Short Hike to Manaslu Base Camp or Pungyen Gompa)
Today is an acclimatization day, so sleep and relax. We won’t be hitting the trail.
You may wish to explore the village, feel the nature and explore the rich culture of the Sherpas. If you feel refreshed and want to explore more you can hike up to a little hill near the Sama village, there's a monastery with rich ancient history and beliefs called Pungyen Gumba. From Sama Village, you can have a vivid view of glaciers.
Or, you can also hike to Manaslu Base Camp.
Day 9: Sanam Gaun to Samdo
Our destination is Samdo, a best place we can reach on this new day. This is short, easy day trek, to a lovely valley through Yak pastures and mani walls.
Day 10: Acclimatization Day (Short Hike to Tibet Border)
This day offers a chance to relax and explore an off-the-beaten-path destination. If your body allows, we will take a hike short to Tibetian Border for pleasant views of some parts of Tibet and Nepal.
If you are lucky, you'll get a glimpse of Yak Caravan, Blue sheep, and Marmots. Samdo Glacier is also one of the main viewpoints from the border. Hike it, You will not regret it.
Day 11: Samdo to Dharmasala
After we had our morning meal in Samdo, we will move to pass a wooden bridge that spans a Budhi Gandaki river that flows out of the larky Glacier. Then we'll be moving uphill.
We will be moving around the valley of the Salka Khola and climb up to reach Dharmasala cross passing many traditional monasteries along the route. This place is also known as Larke Phedi.
Day 12: Dharmasala to Bimthang via Larkya Pass
It's a beautiful day for a long hike.The trail in the beginning is much more challenging but seeing magical villages, clear glacier lakes, beautiful valleys, wide range of flora and fauna and snowcapped peaks all along the trek will always energize you along the day. You'll hike across morained of the glacier, making a gadual ascent till you reach valley on the northern side of the Larkya Glacier, and the trek becomes steeper in the last section of the pass. The view from here is spectacular! There's no better way to spend your evening than by walking across a beautiful pastureland dotted with misty mountains. This ia an ungorgettable experience.
Day 13: Bimthang to Dharapani
Waking up with Mystic Manaslu looming in the distance will be an amazing feeling you ever dreamed of. Perfect sunrise in the mountains will be greeting you.
The trail goes through beautiful pine and rhododendron forestes, winding along a stream of blue water. The trek follows Dudh khola, continues through the jungle and pass by the village of Homuk and Gho. Moving ahead we will reachTilije and Thonje village prior reaching our destination Dharapani.
Well done! You have successfully completed your Trek.
Day 14: Dharapani to Kathmandu
It's time to say farewell to the trekking route. We will be taking Local Jeep to reach Besi Sahar and the company vehicle will be waiting for you there in Besi Sahar. We will be heading East on the Prithivi Highway from Beshi Sahar to meet Kathmandu.
We will take you to hotel. Take your afternoon and Relax. If you got time we will take to for dinner. It's your last day in this beautiful country.
Day 15: Departure
Our Airport Representative will take you to the airport 3 hours before your flight time.
We will meet you again, GOODBYE!

Is Manaslu Base Camp Trek for me?

Manaslu Base Camp Trek is a basic walking trek and there’s nothing technical about this trek. If you can handle the altitude of 5,200m and can walk for at least 6 hours a day, you will be fine on this trek. Thus, this trek is for every trek lover. For children under 18, the trek can be done under the supervision of their parents. If you are a beginner and wish to have the trek and need some more rest days, we will amend it as per your preference.

Is Manaslu Base Camp Trek Worth it?

The Manaslu Circuit Tre is a challenging and remote trek. It will take your breath away and leave you with incredible memories. It’s a much less trafficked trek than Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit, so you can enjoy it to the fullest. It is growing in popularity, but it’s still a great time to trek this circuit before it becomes the norm. The scenery changes constantly and you’ll find yourself in tropical jungles at the bottom of the Himalayas.
A sense of accomplishment and thrill can be felt in your soul. Nothing beats this sense of accomplishment and is completely worth it.

Is Manaslu Base Camp trek Hard? Is Manaslu Base Camp Trek Dangerous?

Some trekking experts say this trekking is harder than Everest Base Camp Trek depicting this trek is 30% longer, much steeper, and less commercially viable. It is basic walking, and there is nothing technical about it. If you can handle the altitude of 5,200m and can walk for at least 6 hours a day, you will be fine on this trek. Regarding acclimatization, the profile is good as you will have 11 days to reach the highest point, so it eases you into it.

Which is the Best Season for Manaslu Base Camp Trek?

Spring and Autumn. Considering the month, October to May is the dry season here in Nepal and is considered the best time for Manaslu Base Camp Trek. This period ensures the clear and high-mountain pass with a good chance of a clear view of Mt. Manaslu.
Although the Manaslu base camp trek can be done throughout the year. But we don’t recommend you to trek in winter and rainy season.

What will be the meals and accommodation during the Manaslu Base Camp Trek?

In Kathmandu, we provide you with quality accommodation with breakfast. The accommodation during the Manaslu Base Camp trek will be at the guest house or tea house. The room will be private however, the bathroom and toilets will be shared. After a long day of hiking, accommodations are very comfortable. Most villages are Tibetan, which will give us a great insight into their culture. You can find varieties of meal choices during this trek, but we don’t recommend you have meat during the trek.
The meals on the trek will be locally and freshly prepared using the ingredients from Nepal.

Can I visit Manaslu Base Camp?

The best trek in Nepal is the Manaslu Circuit Trek. You'll have to be in good shape to do this one! As you climb to the base of Mount Manaslu, you'll stay in different villages as you go. We highly recommend this circuit for those looking to avoid the crowds of the Annapurna Circuit and the Everest Base Camp Trek.

How High is Manaslu Base Camp?

The 8th highest mountain peak in the world, Manaslu Base Camp resides at an altitude of 4800m. While trekking frequent trekker doesn’t feel high altitude sickness but beginner trekker must need some more rest days to acclimatize their body. We can change the itinerary as per your time schedule.
