What are you looking for when you think about travelling to Nepal? Are you thinking of breaking out of your comfort zone and trek to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp? Or do you want to see our ancient temples at Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur or all over Nepal? Or do you want to enjoy our nature at any of our national parks? Well, we have covered all those places and more in this post, so read this post carefully and choose the best places to visit in Nepal.

The Himalayas

The Himalayan range is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Nepal. The mountains are covered with snow all year round and you will find a wide variety of beautiful scenery. The highest peak of the Himalayas is Mount Everest which is also known as Sagarmatha (“mother goddess” in Nepali).

Boudha Stupa

Boudha Stupa is a stupa in Kathmandu. It is a Buddhist temple and is one of the most sacred places in Nepal. As per our senior there is an interesting story attached to this temple. “King Prithvi Narayan Shah had brought the statue of the Buddha from Tibet and he placed it in the valley of Boudha”. After that, he built a huge stupa around the statue.

Pashupatinath Temple

The Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest places in Nepal, a pilgrimage spot of Hindus from all over the world. There are two major shrines in this temple, one is for Shiva and another for his wife Parvati. It is believed that if you offer prayers here then you will be blessed with long life.

Swayambhunath Stupa

It is one of the oldest and largest stupas in the world. Swayambhunath is a stupa with a dome-shaped structure. It is also a Buddhist temple.

Lumbini

It is the place where the Buddha was born. His mother gave birth to him at Lumbini and he was born in a grove of sacred fig trees.

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park is a national park located in the Chitwan area of Nepal, southwestern side of Kathmandu (capital of Nepal). Chitwan is home to many rare and endangered species, especially the one-horned Rhino. And this is one of the most popular destinations for wildlife viewing and bird viewing. But you need to have patience for bird watching.

Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and itself is one of the best places to visit in Nepal. The city is full of historical and cultural sites. It has the highest number of UNESCO heritage sites..

Conclusion:

Why would you always visit the places that are in your home town or trek to the route you are comfortable on? This year break out of your comfort zone and visit Nepal. We OASIS NEPAL will work on how to make your vacation safe and exciting. We will not let you down.
